It\u2019s like looking back in my life, at the lowest moments of trials and tribulations, and seeing them for what they truly were \u2013 preparation for the mentor role I am lucky to have Today. We can call ourselves mentors, but I prefer the term used by many indigenous cultures: \u201cwound healers.\u201d We do what we do because, in one way or another, we've been there too.
